GLORY BE

Glory be to the Father

and to the Son

and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning

is now,

and ever shall be,

world without end.

The Blessed Trinity O High Eternal, Godhead

The Blessed Trinity O high eternal Godhead,

incomprehensible, immeasurable love!

You say, eternal Father,

that those who look at themselves

find you within themselves.

For they are created in your image.

They have memory

to hold fast to you and your blessings,

and in this they share in your power.

They have understanding

to know you and your will,

thus sharing in the wisdom of your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

And they have a will to love you,

so sharing in the Holy Spirit's mercy.

So not only did you create us

in your image and likeness,

but in a certain way you bear our likeness.

So you are in us and we in you.

God the Father,

I thank Thee for creating me.

God the Son,

I thank Thee for redeeming me.

God the Holy Ghost,

I thank Thee for sanctifying me;

infuse into my thoughts,

words and actions Thy grace,

so that they may be supernaturally pleasing to Thee

and supernaturally rewarding to me, forever.

O Blessed Trinity,

abundantly assist me in becoming that

which Thou intended me to become when Thou
created me,

for in that perfection

I will give Thee the glory Thou desirest of me,

and in that perfection I will find my greatest joy in
heaven.

Amen.

FOLLOW ME PRAYER

Almighty and eternal God,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Perfect love.

Father, you have made known to us your will;

Jesus, your Son and our Savior, showed us the way

Through the gifts of the crucifixion and the Resurrection.

The Holy Spirit, infused into our souls in Baptism and

Confirmation, guides us in all that we do for you.

Since you created each of us as a unique person to know

You and to serve you, stay with us on our way into the new
Millennium, as we strive to meet life's challenges -- to protect
the unborn, the old, the afflicted, the weak, the strong, the rich,
and the poor.

Guide us in unity of family and church community so as to do the
work you have prescribed in the Gospels.

Teach us to spread the love that you have shown in our creation,
so our actions may inspire hope that will lead to peace.

Help us to hear and respond to your words, "Follow Me, as you
stay with us forever."

Amen.
